One of the wonderful things about inkjet printing technology is that you can print on practically anything shaped like paper. A huge variety of paper is manufactured in the world for all sorts of purposes, and someone somewhere has probably tried to print on all of it. Art PapersArt papers are designed for such purposes as watercolour painting; a huge variety are available. In inkjets, they can work well if you are interested in something other than the photographic look. For example, an uncoated art paper will typically have a rough surface and a high dot gain; these combine to give a textured but slightly blurry look. One nice thing about art papers is that they are available from any good art supplies shop; you don't need to find a specialist supplier to get hold of some.
Inkjet PapersMany specialist inkjet papers are available: these papers are normally coated to improve the appearance of the resulting print by reducing spreading (dot gain) of the ink.
